In the last few weeks, I was able to write some more songs with three talented songwriters from Denmark - Claus, Kristian and Nana. We were able to create some beautiful songs and make lasting friendships. This is all happening with the program based here in Austin called The House of Songs. Jason and I are talking more and more about booking a tour to Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium & Germany soon...maybe next summer! I will be recording a rough demo of one of these songs called "Fire" and will send that along to you soon so you can hear one of the new tunes...
A couple of days ago, NPR's EarthSky featured one of my songs again! You can listen to the podcast here.
And if you haven't heard yet, Austin 360 Radio is a new station based out of Austin, TX but can be listened to online from anywhere in the world!! Acoustic Sanctuary show / HAAM Benefit Day 2011
I have some fun shows coming up in the next few weeks. Tomorrow night I will be singing at a new listening space called The Acoustic Sanctuary. It is in downtown Austin, and is held in a church. I am sure this will be a lovely space to perform in and share a night of music. For info, please go here.
On Tuesday October 4th, we will have another HAAM Benefit Day. HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians) is what provides affordable health care for most of us working musicians here in Austin. It is an amazing organization and is powered by generous donations from many people and places. Most of the funds are raised annually on HAAM Benefit Day.
